Let’s Talk

In this story, the younger son repents, confesses, and is forgiven by his father. Discuss in groups why it is good to feel sorry after one has done wrong and then confessed.

First of all, I request everyone to be humble, kind, sympathetic, and polite. Follow your religion. Do, what your elders advise you. If by chance or unknowingly you did a sin then it is good to feel sorry for that because these wrongdoings hurt people. By doing wrongs you become the sinner before the Almighty and the people. It is good to confess the guilt and repent, on it. It is well said, ‘wrongdoers have to pay wrongs committed by them’.

Did you like this story? Tell the class why you liked it.

Yes, I liked this story very much because it has a good moral. It educates us, the difference between good and bad. It also tells us that we should always be careful while spending our money. We should not waste our money on wrongdoings. We should save money so that we will make good use of it in bad times.

Let’s Write

Did you enjoy reading this story? If yes, then write it briefly in about 100 words.

The story ‘The Prodigal Son’ is really a message for those who make wrong use of their money. It reflects the grace and mercy of the Almighty. In this story, a father has two sons whom he loved very much. The elder son is hardworking and obedient while the younger son is extravagant. The main character of the story is the younger son. As the younger is prodigal, he decides to take the share of the property from his father so that to live a life of freedom. The father gives him his share and he leaves to a distant place where he wastes all his money on dining, wining, and gambling. Not a penny leaves in his pocket and he almost reaches starvation to death. He gets a job without a salary and his hunger makes him unconscious. When he fails to get the meal, he decides to go to his father and repent before him. He repents on his sins. His father welcomes him with a great, tasty feast. The elder son on the other hand becomes angry, with his father. His father educates him that his brother has repented on his sins and now they should rejoice and welcome him on his new life.

Or

Sum up an incident in your words (100 – 150) about how your parents reacted when you committed a wrong.
